Katrina Pierson, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 33rd House district, posted several messages on October 2, 2025, addressing religious observance, historical remembrance, and calls for greater awareness of tragedies.
In her first post on October 2, Pierson marked the Jewish holy day by stating: “Yom Kippu is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
To all who are observing, may this sacred day bring peace, clarity, and blessings for the year ahead.
G’mar Chatimah Tovah — may you be sealed for goodness.” (October 2, 2025)
Later that day, she commented on an unspecified tragedy with a call for increased public attention: “Yes! We need more awareness of this tragedy.” (October 2, 2025)
In another post reflecting on Texas history, Pierson wrote: “October 2, 1835, wasn’t just another dusty Texas morning. It was the day ordinary settlers at Gonzales stood their ground against Mexican forces and kicked off the Texas Revolution. A ragtag band of farmers and townsfolk, armed with grit and a little brass cannon, told the world” (October 2, 2025)
Pierson assumed office in the Texas State House after being elected in 2025 to succeed Justin Holland as representative of District 33.
