Katrina Pierson, a Republican who was elected to the Texas State House in 2025 representing the state’s 33rd House district, posted several messages on her X (formerly Twitter) account over the weekend, including a reminder for Texas parents about the annual tax-free weekend.
On August 9, 2025, Pierson addressed families in Texas with a message about upcoming savings opportunities: “Texas parents, this is your friendly reminder that it’s tax free weekend! https://t.co/ckhVftq1Qn”.
The following day, she shared two additional posts. The first, on August 10, 2025, included only an emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/UHEFqxQWU0″. Later that same day, she posted another message consisting of two links: “https://t.co/I0k1ODlFUm https://t.co/zMAyvAJElE”.
Pierson succeeded Justin Holland as representative for District 33 in the Texas State House after her election in 2025. The annual tax-free weekend referenced in her post is a period when certain items can be purchased without state sales tax, aimed at helping families prepare for the new school year.
