The following day, January 19, 2026, Pierson marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a post honoring King’s legacy: “Today we honor Martin Luther King Jr.. As a minister, patriot, and moral leader, he called on America to live up to its founding promise.
Let this day be more than remembrance. Let it be a renewed commitment to faith, family, community service, and the hard work of unity”
Pierson began serving as state representative for Texas House District 33 after winning election in 2025 and succeeding Justin Holland.
