Lance Gooden, a U.S. Congressman who has consistently secured re-election since 2018, recently posted a series of statements on his Twitter account criticizing the Biden administration and highlighting developments in energy production.

On December 15, 2025, Gooden wrote: “Never forget: Jack Smith’s top aide had a closed-door meeting at the Biden White House. Eight weeks later, President Trump was indicted. Jack must answer for this on Wednesday.”

The following day, he commented on healthcare policy: “When Obamacare rolled out, the website didn’t even work. It cost taxpayers over $2.1 BILLION. From start to finish, Obamacare has been a disaster, and Democrats are responsible for it.” This statement references the technical issues and costs associated with the launch of Healthcare.gov under the Affordable Care Act.

Later that same day, Gooden turned his attention to energy production statistics: “In November, U.S. oil and gas production reached a RECORD HIGH. Over 42% of that output came from Texas. The Lone Star State is leading the charge in President Trump’s mission to unleash American energy and lower costs for families!”

Gooden’s recent electoral history includes victories over Ruth Torres in 2024 with 64.1% of the vote, Tartisha Hill in 2022 with 64%, Carolyn Salter in 2020 with 62%, and Dan Wood in 2018 with 62.3%. These results underscore his established presence in Congress.
