Lance Gooden, a U.S. Congressman who has consistently won his general elections since 2018, posted several statements on his social media account on December 6, 2025, addressing issues related to law enforcement interference, political leadership decisions, and allegations of fraud in Minnesota and federal healthcare programs.

In a post dated December 6, 2025, Gooden commented on congressional conduct: “If a member of Congress is dumb enough to interfere with law enforcement, they should face the consequences. Speaker Johnson should have waited longer before swearing you in.”

Later that day, Gooden addressed remarks attributed to former Representative Keith Ellison: “Former Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison said Somalis need more ‘resources’ to avoid becoming terrorists. He is now the state’s Attorney General. No one should be surprised that fraud is rampant in Minnesota.”

In another post from the same date, Gooden criticized the federal healthcare program known as Obamacare: “Obamacare fraud is MASSIVE. $21 BILLION in subsidies went to people with SSNs that don’t match IRS records. Taxpayers should be outraged that Democrats want to bailout Obamacare with NO anti-fraud measures!”

Gooden has maintained his seat in Congress through multiple election cycles, having defeated Ruth Torres in the 2024 general election with over 64% of the vote. In previous years he also prevailed against Tartisha Hill (2022), Carolyn Salter (2020), and Dan Wood (2018) by significant margins.
