Lance Gooden, U.S. Congressman from Texas, recently used his social media platform to comment on cryptocurrency developments in Texas, President Trump’s actions regarding narcoterrorism, and ongoing legal proceedings involving Jack Smith.

On December 2, 2025, Gooden stated: “Texas is not just buying Bitcoin, it is becoming America’s crypto capital. From mining to innovation, no state is doing more to advance and normalize digital assets. The Lone Star State is putting America on top of the global crypto stage!”

The following day, December 3, 2025, he posted about President Trump’s approach to national security: “President Trump is doing exactly what the Constitution demands: keeping Americans SAFE. Striking narcoterrorists stops deadly drugs from hitting Texas communities. If that outrages you, you’re either fake news or a Democrat out of touch with reality.”

Later that same day, Gooden commented on legal accountability for Jack Smith: “Jack Smith will finally face the music. Excited to see corruption face accountability.”

Gooden has represented his district through several election cycles. In 2024, he won re-election against Ruth Torres with 64.1% of the vote; in previous years he defeated Tartisha Hill (2022), Carolyn Salter (2020), and Dan Wood (2018) by similar margins.
