CITY OF CRANDALL: COVID 19 Prevention Plan

City Of Crandall issued the following announcement on March 24

 City Hall-City Hall will no longer allow citizens to enter City Hall for their protection as well as the employees.  You may place your utility payment inside the slot on the door or the payment box in the back of the building.  You may request a receipt by placing your email address on the back of the envelope and we will email a receipt.  If you have other business such as permits, we will be accepting appointments if you will call City Hall at 972-427-3771.  We will be taking your temperature and if you do not have a fever we will meet with you at City Hall.  Thank you for being patient as continuing to serve citizens is our main concern.

Crandall Water Department – The Lobby at the City Hall will be closed to the public to try to keep our residents & staff safe. However, city staff is prepared to accept all transactions & work orders by phone 972-427-3771 or email asmith@crandalltexas.com We currently accept money order, check & Debit/credit card.

Crandall Police Department - The City of Crandall has made the decision to close the public areas of City Hall and the PD/Court. A sign has been placed on the front door of the PD with dispatch’s number for people to call, even if they come up to the PD during the day. We will not be bringing anyone into the PD unless it is absolutely necessary and no one will be brought into the lobby. If calls can be handled via public service, even report calls, then make that attempt.

Crandall Municipal Court - Crandall Municipal Court, in accordance with the Supreme Court of US and the City of Crandall, will be dealing with the COVID-19 Virus by taking precautions with the public coming into the Courthouse. Our doors will be closed to the public, but If you are a defendant wanting to pay your ticket, please use our online credit card services or leave a payment (money Order or Check) in the box at the door.  You may  call the Crandall Municipal Court at 972-427-6771 with  any questions or concerns.

Any defendant that has been scheduled for any type of Court hearing, will be contacted by phone before your hearing. The Court Clerks will ascertain the best phone number to contact you and the best time of day on your court date. Once we get the time to contact you on your court date, our City Prosecutor will call you about your case and you can discuss the options available to you.

Public Works - With the recent developments of social distancing and the spread of COVID-19. All public works employees will follow these procedures.

  • Daily required round for water and wastewater will continue as normal.
  • Work orders requiring contact with citizens (water leaks, sewer stops) will be addressed normally. After investigating problems contact will be made with residents by phone or email only.
  • Work orders not requiring contact with citizens will be processed normally.
  • After hours and emergency calls will procced with limited contact to citizens and contractors on the site.
EDC – The Crandall Economic Development Corporation will be coordinating with our federal elected officials to keep local businesses informed of economic stimulus funds, SBA loan program adjustments, unemployment information, etc.  In addition to federal assistance, the Crandall EDC will be working diligently to keep the local business community informed of grants, local programs, etc. that could potentially benefit the Crandall business community.
