Resident Input Requested on ADA Compliance of City Services, Facilities

9

City of Irving Texas issued the following announcement on Sept. 30

The City of Irving takes its responsibility seriously to ensure its facilities and services provide anyone with special needs the ability to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act's (ADA) goals. The ADA provides civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities and assures equality through equal opportunity, full participation, independent living and economic self-sufficiency.

Currently, a team comprised of city employees and consultants is evaluating Irving's performance to ensure compliance in all aspects of the ADA, and residents and stakeholders are invited to share their special needs experiences using city facilities and services. The survey is short and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. The responses will help the compliance team create a strategy that prioritizes the work needed while maximizing resources.

Complete the survey online. The City of Irving Accessibility Survey closes Oct. 15.
