18

City of Mesquite, Tx issued the following announcement on Nov. 24

The Mesquite Arts Center is hosting a variety of programming for the holiday season, including “A Christmas Story” play by the Mesquite Arts Theatre and a family-friendly Christmas Concert by the Mesquite Community Band. Holiday programming will take place at the Mesquite Arts Center, 1527 N. Galloway Avenue.

This December, you and your family can enjoy the holiday classic, A Christmas Story, in person. Follow 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself. The consistent response: "You'll shoot your eye out!"

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $10 for kids. Visit mesquiteartstheatre.org/tickets to purchase your ticket. Shows will take place in the Mesquite Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre.

Saturday, Dec. 4, 11, 18: 7:30 p.m.
