The Kaufman County Leadership Council will be taking a trip to Austin once again to meet with state leaders about issues affecting Kaufman County citizens.
Kaufman County Day in Austin is set for Sunday, February 5 to Monday, February 6, 2023. It will be headquartered at the Royal Sonesta Hotel - The Stephen F. Austin Hotel, located at 701 Congress Avenue in Austin.
Event will kick off with check-in and reception from 5 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 5 on the second floor inside the Royal Sonesta Hotel. On Monday, February 6, the day begins with a breakfast, speakers and legislative updates from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m before we head over to the State Capitol to visit with various state agencies. Event will also include an Ice Cream Social at the State Capitol as an opportunity to share our legislative agenda with our representatives and their staff.
Participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. There is a group rate of $219 for a single or two doubles for $239 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Call 1-512.721.2021. Be sure to state that it is for the Kaufman County Day group. The block of rooms will be held until January 27, 2023.
Anyone that attends any part of Kaufman County Day must register. The registration fee of $150 per person includes reception on Sunday at the Stephen F.’s Bar and Terrace on the second floor and breakfast on Monday.
