Delan Edwin nominated for Saint Lucia Sportsman of the Year
exas A&M University-Commerce men's track and field student-athlete Delan Edwin has been nominated for the Saint Lucia Sportsman of the Year award.
Edwin (Castries, Saint Lucia) received first team All-America honors in five events for the Lions during the 2022 calendar year. He also represented Saint Lucia at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
The senior sprinter is currently ranked top eight in the Southland Conference for both the 200 meter dash and the 60 meter dash during the indoor season. He holds the Saint Lucian indoor 200 meter dash record.
The Saint Lucian National Sports Awards are an important celebration of the nation's leading athletes, acknowledging their local, regional, and international achievements and recognizing the hard work and dedication they have devoted to their sporting discipline. The winner of the awards will be announced on Friday evening.
