There were 7,629 students enrolled in Royse City ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 10.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Royse City ISD students was white, accounting for 48.9% of the student population.

Royse City ISD roughly covers schools within Rockwall County with its main office in Royse City.

Among the nine schools in Royse City ISD, Royse City High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,235 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
