There were 14,349 students enrolled in Forney ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 12.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Forney ISD students was white, accounting for 33.8% of the student population.

Forney ISD roughly covers schools within Kaufman County with its main office in Forney.

Among the 16 schools in Forney ISD, North Forney High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,291 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
