Enrollment at Crandall ISD schools increased by 10.1% compared to previous school year

There were 6,003 students enrolled in Crandall ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.3% of them were boys, and 47.7% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Crandall ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 40% of the student population.

Crandall ISD roughly covers schools within Kaufman County with its main office in Crandall.

Among the seven schools in Crandall ISD, Crandall High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,707 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
