Scurry-Rosser ISD Education: 1,066 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,066 students enrolled in Scurry-Rosser ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 68.2% of the Scurry-Rosser ISD total enrollment.

Scurry-Rosser ISD roughly covers schools within Kaufman County with its main office in Scurry.

Among the three schools in Scurry-Rosser ISD, Scurry-Rosser Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of 407 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
