There were 4,601 white students enrolled in Forney ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Forney ISD schools welcomed 16,211 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 28.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Forney ISD roughly covers schools within Kaufman County and has a main office in Forney.

Among the 17 schools in Forney ISD schools, Forney High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 979 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
