Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 55.6% of Kaufman ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 2,407 Hispanic students enrolled in Kaufman ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Kaufman ISD schools welcomed 4,332 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 55.6% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Kaufman ISD roughly covers schools within Kaufman County and has a main office in Kaufman.

Among the seven schools in Kaufman ISD schools, Kaufman High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 709 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
